The greatest love that anyone could ever know
That overcame the cross and grave to find my soul
And till I see You face to face and grace amazing takes me home
I'll trust in You
I just watched desperate housewives.. only a part of it.. Todays episode was about some woman who went crazy because her husband had an affair, so she held some innocent people in the supermarket with a gun while her husband locked himself in the room. In the process, there were two enemies who reconciled when one of them was shot, and died.
I took quite a long moment to think about this. How many of us would keep ourselves locked in a room knowing that there are other people's lives at stake. And how many would protect the ones we love from a lunatical person. I realised that this could happen anytime, and would we then wait till the person you hate most is dying before forgiving him? Or offer ourselves to be a hostage in the place of a loved one inside? Would we stand up, risking ourselves, to argue against an unreasonable decision.
Sometimes things happen to people and we want to help, but how can we prevent what we can't predict? How we help, is by treasuring the day, because beautiful days don't come so easily.
